My greatest passion is understanding.

Whether that be understanding how music and cultures have evolved and melded over time to create the modern American sound, how a nonprofit can best adapt its mission and programs to rise to the moment, or even how the physics of the early universe led us to this moment of cosmological time—I love it all. It is this boundless curiosity, alongside my diverse experiences as a researcher, writer, musician, and leader, that set my voice apart. In diving deep into the origins, I can gain my footing in any number of complex topics and use my perspective to capture the big picture.
